Consultation has concluded

Council has placed proposed amendments to its Procurement Policy (1.4.19) on public exhibition for 28 days for community feedback.

Proposed amendments to the policy state that Council does not support the development of the Adani Carmichael mine and requires all tenderers to disclose if they have a direct contractual agreement to construct or operate the mine.

The policy also states that if Council discovers during a contract period that a contractor has or develops a direct contractual agreement to construct or operate the Carmichael mine, then the contract will be terminated.

The amended Procurement Policy is on public exhibition until 14 March 2018.

It can be viewed online in our Document Library or in hardcopy at our Corporate Centre, 43 Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah.

Submissions can be made online, emailed to council@lismore.nsw.gov.au or sent to the General Manager, Lismore City Council, PO Box 23A, Lismore, NSW 2480.

Submissions must be received by 14 March 2018. For more information, phone Finance Manager Rino Santin on 1300 87 83 87.
