Council is pleased to present the Imagine Lismore Community Strategic Plan 2022 – 2032 for the community’s review and feedback.

The CSP is the highest level of strategic planning undertaken by local council and details the community’s 10-year aspirations for Lismore and sets the scene for what the community wishes for its future.

Significant community consultation for the CSP was undertaken prior to the 2022 natural disasters, the major aspirations that arose during engagement activities have remained relatively consistent between 2016 and 2021 and illustrated that natural disasters and climate change were already front of mind. The review process has reconfirmed the recommended themes, objectives and strategies in the attached Draft Imagine Lismore Community Strategic Plan 2022-2032.

Imagine Lismore Community Strategic Plan 2022-2032 will replace the current strategic plan (Imagine Lismore 10 Year Plan 2017-2027).

The Plan has been developed around five major themes, which reflect the major issues and priorities identified by the community. These have remained consistent since 2013. The major themes are:

  1. An inclusive and healthy community
  2. A prosperous and vibrant city
  3. Our natural environment
  4. Our built environment
  5. Leadership and participation

These themes are supported by objectives and strategies. The activities which support the delivery of these programs will be set out in Council’s Delivery Program and Operational Plan. The Delivery Program and Operational Plan will be presented to Council by 30 June 2023.
