This consultation has now concluded.
Council is finalising new Plans of Management (PoMs) for its Crown land reserves.
The introduction of the Crown Land Management Act 2016 requires all councils in NSW to prepare PoMs for the Crown land reserves they manage that have been classified as ‘community’ land, and to manage such land as if it were public land under the Local Government Act 1993 (LG Act).
Council managers must ensure a compliant PoM for each reserve has been adopted by 30 June 2021.
Lismore City Council has 31 Crown reserves that are to be managed as ‘community’ land under the LG Act.
Council adopted PoMs for 28 of these reserves at its Ordinary meeting on 8 December 2020.
Council is now seeking feedback on the remaining three (3) draft Plans of Management, which will guide the long-term use and management of the land. The draft PoMs Council is now seeking feedback on are as follows:
Rotary Park
Claude Riley Lookout Reserve
Currie Park
The draft PoMs for Rotary Park and Currie Park include recently completed Site Action Plans.
The draft PoMs and Site Action Plans can be viewed in the Document Library to your right.
Submissions must be submitted by 28 April 2021.
For further information, please contact Council’s Strategic Planning Coordinator Paula Newman by telephone on 1300 87 83 87 or email paula.newman@lismore.nsw.gov.au
