Development Proposal

Application has been made to the Council by Mr Paul Weir for:

To undertake the construction of 2 x Compost Barns / Stock Covers with ancillary earthworks and effluent management system for Dairy expansion constituting extensive agriculture.

The proposal is classified as Nominated Integrated Development in accordance with s4.46 of the EP&A Act 1979 requiring approval from NSW Department of Planning and Environment (Water) in accordance with s91 of the Water Management Act 2000. The development is also integrated development in accordance with s4.46 of the EP&A Act 1979, requiring approval from NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (Fisheries) in accordance with s201 of the Fisheries Management Act 1994.

The consent authority is Lismore City Council.

The application and any accompanying documents or plans may be viewed electronically at Council's Corporate Centre during business hours (8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) or at any time on Council’s website (using the link below).

Any person may make submissions to the Council in relation to the development application. Any such submission must specify the grounds of objection, if any, and must quote the Application number DA24/289.

Submissions can be made online using the submission form below, or, addressed to the General Manager and emailed to council@lismore.nsw.gov.au or posted to PO Box 23A, Lismore NSW 2480. Your submission must be received by 4.30pm 28 January 2025.

If you make a submission on this matter (either objecting or supporting) you are required by the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, to disclose any reportable political donations or gifts made to a Councillor or Council employee that were made within the period commencing two (2) years before the application was made. This includes any donation or gift made when a person was a candidate for Council election. The disclosure reporting form is available on the Department of Planning website (www.planning.nsw.gov.au) or from Council’s Offices. If you have made any such donations or gifts the completed form must accompany your submission.

All submissions, including any personal information contained therein, will become publicly available documents and will be made available on Council’s website, in accordance with the provisions of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.
