*****Information Session has now taken place***** Please contact the Procurement team on 6625 0500 with any questions. A fact sheet providing information from the session has been uploaded under 'documents' on the right hand side of this page

Background

Council recently ran a free supplier information session. This was an excellent opportunity for local business operators to find out more about how to do business with Council. We did this because we recognise the importance of expending funds with local and regional businesses to boost the local economy and drive local job creation and because we believe that locals can often be better placed to meet local needs.

This information session provided an overview of Council’s compliance and legislative requirements, including how to best meet council’s requirements for submitting quotations and tenders, and an overview of our recently implemented innovative purchasing and procurement software platform, Vendor Panel, which is used by hundreds of other organisations to simplify the quote process and to increase transparency and compliance.

Further Information on the session:

This session will provide business operators with information they need to know and will be a great opportunity to learn about upcoming opportunities and ask questions.

During the session, council staff will be partnering with both Vendor Panel and Local Government Procurement to deliver presentations on how council’s Procurement Policy operates, how to find upcoming tender information and how to address tender submissions, how Vendor Panel connects suppliers to business, and guidance on the legislative process and compliance requirements. Staff will also chat informally with business operators regarding specific goods and services used by council.
