Numulgi Bridge Update (Closure) - November 2023
TEMPORARY BRIDGE CLOSURE
Council wishes to advise that essential maintenance works to Numulgi Creek Bridge, Numulgi Road are scheduled to be undertaken over three (3) consecutive days commencing 7am on Thursday 9 November through to 6pm on Saturday 11 November and requires the temporary road closure of Numulgi Road to through traffic both sides of the bridge. This time frame is subject to suitable weather.
What are the works?
The works will comprise of replacing the existing bridge decking with new decking and returning the bridge to two lane traffic.
What are the traffic adjustments?
For the safety of motorists and due to the nature of the works, Numulgi Road will be closed either side of Numulgi Bridge. We ask that drivers use the detour that is signposted and in place Lockton Road and Corndale Road during this period.
