Purpose

Lismore Regional Gallery has been a cornerstone of cultural life in the Northern Rivers region for over seventy years. As one of the longest-running art institutions in NSW, the gallery champions the transformative power of art. Our work spans exhibitions, commissioning and presenting new works across disciplines, delivering inclusive and dynamic public programs, and caring for a growing permanent collection.

Through this research, we aim to:

  • Understand who our audiences are and what motivates them.
  • Measure the quality and impact of their experiences.
  • Ensure we are engaging diverse communities across the Northern Rivers.
  • Track how effectively we are retaining existing audiences and attracting new ones.
  • Demonstrate our reach, relevance, and impact to funding partners and stakeholders
