Design Workshop Participation
Thanks to all the attendees from our recent design workshops.
Over 30 people participated in 2 sessions held at the Lismore PCYC on 13 September.
The first session saw attendees from varying local organisations and community members who gave perspective on the precinct as whole. Raising potential risks, providing community advocacy and informing potential future use. This precinct will be a venue to promote an active and healthy community, the feedback received will be used to inform future actions.
The second workshop was attended mostly by members from the local skate community, providing technical details on the skatepark. Feedback focused on the design of the skatepark, and what the skate community of Lismore would like included. Adjustments will be made to the skatepark design, before consulting with this group again for finalised plans. Art was also a large part of the discussion, with some creative ideas now being considered for final plans.
Ahead of the workshops, there was an outpour of comments on the social media posts and spike in visitor numbers to the project Your Say page. Thank you to our community for interacting and staying informed on this project.
The latest concept design will be uploaded to this page shortly, following feedback being collated and incorporated to desired changes.
