Lismore City Council invites Expressions of Interest from relevant organisations, schools, event organisers, coaches, community groups, retail outlets and others for use of the Lismore Skatepark and facilities.

The EOI period will be open from July - October 2025. This will allow three months to see how the community uses the skatepark, and ensure future operators have experience within the space to refine their offerings.

What does Council provide to selected operators?

Access to the skatepark and facilities for agreed times, for an agreed period. *Fees and charges are yet to be decided, and will be developed in alignment with future operator feedback.

Who can apply?

Seeking operators to provide all offers for activation of the facility including coaching, local based and circuit events, cultural partnerships, youth services, retail, food and beverage, and more.

Please complete the Expression of Interest below.

Selection criteria:
Proposals will be assessed on -

  • Alignment with Council’s strategic goals, per the Community Strategic Plan and Delivery Program
  • Inclusivity and accessibility to suit all members of the extreme sports community
  • Relevant and appropriate qualifications such as working with children checks and accreditations
  • Experience and standing in the marketplace
  • Location of business, preference given to 2480 businesses

*Lismore City Council is not seeking groups who are looking for exclusive use of the park, nor those groups who may wish to discriminate or exclude members of the community.

Next Steps:

The skatepark is open for use as of Wednesday 30 July. Future operators are encouraged use the facility and refine their EOI submission offer.

In November, all applications will be reviewed by a panel of Council Officers, external stakeholders, members of the community and emergency service representatives.

Selected operators will then be notified, for a round of interviews with Council officers to confirm service offering and requirements for operating.

An events calendar for the skatepark will be developed following this EOI process.
