Cawongla Road – Culvert Update (Jan 2023)

Work have commenced on Cawongla Road to replace two culverts that suffered significant damage during the 2022 floods. These works are being completed with great cooperation from the public and LCC thank you, the community, for following detours during these works.

Council crews are currently working hard to compete works excavation and installation of pipes which are anticipated to be completed this week in preparation for backfilling works and reconstruction of roadway embankment. The below images show aerial views of the current progress along with the pipe installation works for the North and South site.  


Waste Removal 

We would like to advise residences that waste collections will remain as normal during this period, however there is a minor change of waste collections around site 2 and affected residences will be advised in writing. Waste collection services are outlined below for affected residents around site 2:

  • Friday 13 January: General Waste and Recycling

  • Thursday 19 January: General Waste

  • Thursday 26 January: General Waste and Recycling

  • Thursday 2 February: General Waste

  • Thursday 9 February: General Waste and Recycling
