Consultation has concluded
Council will start the development of the first of two bike projects at Nesbitt Park, South Lismore in May 2021.
The first project involves the construction of a new Mountain Bike Skills Course and will be built where the existing BMX pump track is located, adjacent to the playground.
This project will create a professionally designed and constructed skills course for mountain bikes. The new course will be suitable for mountain bikers with beginner to intermediate skills. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of June 2021 and is funded by the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Community Fund.
Council will also be upgrading the BMX pump track at Nesbitt Park. The improved pump track will be professionally designed and will be relocated next to the mountain bike skills course. Work is due to commence on this project in mid to late-2021, once a contractor has been appointed. This project has been part funded by Council and the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Community Fund.
