Good Bush Neighbours

Good Bush Neighbours is a Biodiversity Management Strategy (BMS) initiative to engage with residents about urban bushland and looking after wildlife.

The development of Good Bush Neighbours is an action outlined in Council's BMS 2015-2035. It will involve citizen science and training opportunities around managing wildlife.

The program aims to:

Raise community awareness of the value of urban bushland.
Reduce the impacts of 'garden dumping' and 'garden escapees' becoming environmental weeds.
Raise community awareness of the impacts of roaming pets preying upon wildlife.
Raise community awareness and support community groups like Landcare, undertaking work which improves urban bushland management and condition.

Council launched Good Bush Neighbours at a fun family event (Meet Your Wild Neighbours) in Tucki Tucki Recreational Park on Saturday, 1 June 2019.

We are asking you to take a quick survey below to gauge your interest in future events and becoming a Good Bush Neighbour.
