February 2024 Update

To service future development for the Pineapple Road precinct, Council is required to investigate, design, and construct critical wastewater (sewer) infrastructure. This infrastructure will ensure the movement of wastewater is safe and effective, catering for population growth and the expansion of the precinct.

The project is funded by the NSW Government in association with Council’s Wastewater Fund, and includes:

  • A new sewage pump station to be located immediately north of the urban precinct.
  • A pumped sewer pipeline connecting the new pump station to Council's existing gravity truck sewer main at Northcott Drive.

As part of these works, a truck turning circle is required and will be established at the end of Northcott Drive. Nearby residents may be impacted by dust, noise, and significantly increased truck movements as we progress through this stage of the project (approximately 6 weeks – subject to weather). Slashing of the manhole area will also be completed regularly, with connection of the manhole to be completed at a later date.

We thank you for your ongoing understanding and support and look forward to delivering this critical infrastructure for the community.
