Consultation has concluded

Planning Proposal 

On 9 September 2025, Lismore City Council resolved to support the abovementioned Planning Proposal to amend the Lismore Local Environmental Plan 2012 (LEP) to add an Additional Local Provision to allow a portion of Lot 22 DP 628242; 202 Caniaba Road CANIABA to be used as a Light Industry for the purpose of a Plumbing & Gas fitting business and uses ancillary to the business. 

On 17 October 2025, the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure issued a Gateway Determination, allowing the Proposal to proceed subject to standard conditions. Delegation for finalisation of the LEP amendment has been granted to Council by the NSW Minister for Planning and Public Spaces. 

The planning proposal is consistent with the North Coast Regional Plan and the relevant State Environmental Planning Policies. The proposal is also consistent or justifiably inconsistent with the relevant section 9.1 Ministerial Directions.
