1 April 2020: Work recommences after wet weather delays

Work on the South Lismore Flood Mitigation Project will start again next week after significant wet weather delays since Christmas.

Rain makes this site very difficult for heavy machinery to navigate and work cannot take place until the ground has dried out. This has taken some time with lots of intermittent wet weather.

The project was ahead of schedule so this rain has not affected our completion date of October 2020.

COVID-19 restrictions are not affecting essential services and as such Council is continuing work on this project as planned.
