Lismore City Council is seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) from suitable businesses in the Lismore Local Government Area (LGA) to display visitor information.

Background

A Visitor Information Review was undertaken for the Destination Management Plan 2024-2028 that identified the importance of establishing visitor information in key locations across Lismore LGA, providing visitors with better access to local information.

It was recommended that self-service visitor information hubs be co-located with attractions, cafes, accommodation, and other sites in key geographical locations across the Lismore LGA, to make information more accessible to visitors, at the same time helping to increase foot traffic through the host business.

The successful businesses would enter into an agreement with Lismore City Council to provide access to visitor information.

To be suitable your business would:

  • Need to be eligible to be listed on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW)
  • Provide wall space for the display of visitor information (approx. 1m high x 0.5m side x 0.1m deep)
  • Display signage that indicates visitor information is available within the premises
  • Undertake basic training on the information provided in the display
  • Be open 5 to 7 days a week
  • Maintain levels of customer service to support a positive visitor experience
  • Keep the display full of marketing material provided by Council's Destination Team

Lismore City Council will be responsible for the supply and installation of all display units and signage, marketing material and the promotion of each business, helping to increase awareness and foot traffic.

If you are interested in hosting a Visitor Information Hub at your business, please complete the EOI form below by Monday, 5 May 2025.
