Community Update: 3 August

Work is progressing as planned on New Ballina Road. Pre-construction activities such as compound set up, clearing works, vegetation management works, erosion and sediment control activities have been undertaken.

The majority of the shoulder widening activities are close to completion.

The next stage is the construction of a retaining wall. This work is programmed to start next week and is expected to take 30 working days to complete. This wall will address subsidence issues experienced on this road. Council will also begin pavement rehabilitation activities in the coming weeks.

Our schedule is on track and, at this stage, we have experienced no unforeseen delays.
