Consultation has concluded

At its ordinary meeting on 14 August 2018, Lismore City Council resolved to support a planning proposal to amend the Lismore Local Environment Plan (LEP) 2012 to rezone part of 407 and 379A Richmond Hill Road, Richmond Hill (Lot 1 DP 1242157 and Lot 1 DP 254131) from RU1 Primary Production to part Zone R5 Large Lot Residential (11.68ha) and part Zone E2 Environmental Conservation (3.75ha) in accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

The objectives of the planning proposal are to facilitate large lot residential development and conserve areas with ecological values.

The planning proposal seeks to amend the minimum lot size for land proposed to be rezoned to Zone R5 Large Lot Residential from 40ha to 3,500m² and apply a maximum building height of 8.5m. A minimum lot size will be applied to each area of E2 that is commensurate with the size of three different areas, those being 2ha, 1ha and 3,500m².

On 5 October 2018 the Department of Planning and Environment issued an alteration of Gateway Determination with conditions. The Minister for Planning has not delegated the finalisation of the LEP to Council.
