Pursuant to Clause 18 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000, draft Lismore DCP Chapter 11 – Buffer Areas is exhibited for public comment from 17 February 2021 to 19 March 2021.
The proposed changes aim to protect productive agriculture and natural resources by adopting new recommended buffers for certain agricultural land uses and extractive industries. Further changes are aimed at reducing duplication and updating maps. Proposed deletions to the draft Chapter 11 are shown in strikethrough and the proposed new text is highlighted in red.
At its ordinary meeting on 9 February 2021, Lismore City Council resolved in accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, to commence public exhibition of the draft Chapter 11 – Buffer Areas.
Submissions relating to the draft DCP Chapter outlining grounds of objection or support can be made online below, emailed to council@lismore.nsw.gov.au or sent to the General Manager, Lismore City Council, PO Box 23A, Lismore, NSW 2480.
