Hi Cathy, sorry for the delay getting back to you. The NSW Government has health guidelines in place for all events and gathering at this time. You do not need approval from Council for events at your local hall but you will need to download and complete a COVID Safety Plan. You can go to this link and click on 'Community centres and halls' to download the plan: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/covid-safe-businesses#industries

    Hope this helps!

ClaireD asked over 4 years ago

We have recently ran a community poll on Facebook on whether to open the Lismore Memorial Baths, which is normally closed this time of year for winter.

More than 1100 people voted, with 65% telling us they did not support opening the facility early.

Taking this into consideration, and the cost of opening the pool for a small number of people, the Memorial Baths will remain closed and will reopen in September as usual.

Scott Froyland asked over 4 years ago

    Hi Scott,

Non-compliance with NSW Public Health Orders is regulated by the Police, not Council. We also just saw your post in our Forum about waste management issues... we have put through a customer request to follow this up as waste management is monitored by Council.

    Hope that provides clarity.
