The Lismore, Nimbin and Villages draft Destination Management Plan (DMP) is on public exhibition for feedback and comment from Monday 6 November until Friday 15 December 2023.

The DMP provides a collective focus, strategic direction and actions for sustainably growing and managing Lismore Local Government Area’s visitor economy to 2028 and beyond.

Its purpose is to maximise the benefits of tourism for the region, safeguarding and enhancing its natural and cultural assets for local communities and businesses now and into the future.

The plan will guide the sustainable growth and viability of the visitor economy in a constantly changing and competitive market.

Lismore City Council would like to thank everyone who contributed their time, expertise, and insights to the development of this strategy. This encompasses those who engaged in online surveys, work-shops, interviews and facilitated meetings.

Council now welcomes public feedback on the draft strategy.
