A 60 hectare site on the fringe of Goonellabah is being progressed for mixed-use development, expected to deliver over 400 dwellings and 100 commercial/industrial lots. The rezoning and development of land is a long-term project, this page will be kept up to date to keep you informed of the progress.

Background

On 11 July 2025 the land at 1055 and 1055A Bruxner Highway was rezoned.

At the 8 April Council meeting, it was resolved that the site-specific DCP Chapter for this urban release area be adopted to ensure that the vision for the area be achieved. The new DCP forms Part B, Chapter 11 of Lismore's DCP and can be found here: Our LEPs and DCPs

Next Steps

The site is now rezoned. Next steps include infrastructure delivery and preparation of Development Application(s).
