Mountain Top Road: Update 1 December

The torrential rain we have been experiencing over the last 2 weeks is causing many challenges for the work that is underway on Mountain Top Road. Initial investigations also suggested that 7 drainage pipes would need replacing but it's now become clear that 12 drainage pipes will need replacing.

More wet weather is forecast so our Engineer has decided to finish the drainage works and then cease work on Mountain Top and open the road for the Christmas period.

The drainage works will be finished by late this week/early next week and the road will then be open on a daily basis.

We will re-commence work on 10 January and aim to have the whole project completed by the end of January.
