The Goonellabah Skatepark was built in 2009 and is in need of some upgrades to improve the standard of the facility.

The intent is to provide:

  • Additional obstacles to open the flow of the less utilised sections of the skatepark.
  • Obstacles better suited for less experienced users.
  • Resurfacing components which have deteriorated over the years.
  • Line of sight improvements for safety and security
  • Drainage, lighting and seating improvements

These are the first actions as part of a greater Goonellabah Youth Plaza Masterplan. Future improvements such as additional shade, bubblers, further improved security measures and amenities are being considered based on available funding and resources. The current engagement will focus on the above actions only. Please submit all feedback via the feedback form to support future actions.
