All works continue between the corner of Magellan Street and Keen Street to Suffolk Sports. Please see project updates for the week ahead:

• Installation of electronic signage for upcoming partial road closures (please see below further detail of partial road closure for Monday 18^th July)
• Concrete works – installation of stormwater pits
• Excavation and install of stormwater pipe
• Installation of electrical conduits and Junction Pits

Since the last update:

• Installed Pit 1
• Removed remainder of existing ACO
• Excavation of Pit 2

Unfortunately due to the wet weather last week, some works were delayed. Changes to the schedule will be made with the possibility of additional work hours. Updates will be posted as required.

As a reminder, on Monday 18th July, the section of road from the roundabout to Tropicana will be closed between 7am – 4pm. (Extended to Tuesday 19th July 4pm)

This is to ensure safe operation of construction equipment, taking into consideration the safety of road users and pedestrians. It is likely later dates will also be required, and updates will be sent for when these are planned. This closure is subject to weather conditions.

Electronic signage will detail the closure and motorists are advised to detour via Magellan and Woodlark. Traffic control will be onsite to assist with traffic flow, with the installation of a U-turn in the median adjacent to the Regional Art Gallery parking. The temporary U-turn will provide access to the Western side of Keen Street to minimise business disruption. Please see image below.
