Keen Street - Temporary Road Closure, Sunday 30 July

From midday on Sunday, 30 July, road closures will be in place for Keen Street (between Woodlark and Magellan Streets) for asphalt shape correction.

To minimise disruption to businesses and pedestrians, the road closure will take place in stages.

Midday to completion – the north-east bound lane and central car parking will be closed (the lane closest to the inner CBD block).

Approximately 5pm to completion – the south-west bound lane will be closed.

If works run to schedule, the north-east bound lane will reopen while southbound lane works are completed.

These works are taking place to correct road depressions and shape deformities caused by the trees in the gardens over time, resulting in an uneven asphalt surface. Car park wheel stops, bollard installation and line marking cannot be completed effectively until these corrections are completed.
