Project Update - 21st June 2023
We are looking forward to having the streets ready and presentable for the Lantern Parade this Saturday. Pedestrians may see temporary fencing and bollards in place, and are asked to adhere to these safety measures.
Works Completed
- Footpath works at Keen – Magellan Corner (landscaping will be ongoing)
- Installation of communication conduits and pits at Keen – Magellan Corner
- Adjustment of bins
- Installation of additional bollards behind the seating on Keen Street
- Landscaping complete on Keen Street
- Seats installed
Works Ongoing and planning to complete within the month
- Installation of Meet PAT water fountain – plumbing is completed, waiting to concrete the fountain surface
- Planting works at Keen – Magellan Corner
- Electrical and communication cabling at the roundabout
- Crossing and pram ramp at Keen – Magellan Corner
Works Planned for July
- Installation of tactile at Keen – Magellan Corner and Larkin Lane (Pushed back due to contractor availability)
- Installation of T1 type fencing in front of Thai Satay Hut and roundabouts (Pushed back due to contractor availability)
- Wheel stops and bollard installation of central parking bays
A reminder that bins on Keen Street are emptied weekly, with footpath sweeping scheduled 4 days a week. The Project team monitor and appreciate ongoing feedback regarding cleanliness, and can arrange additional collections/sweeping where required.
