Project Update Friday, 21 October 2022
This past week, the Project Team poured the remainder of the new concrete footpath in the shopfront section. As of this afternoon, access is now open along the shop front for the length of the street.
We greatly appreciate the patience showed by all Keen Street businesses especially those in this final section whilst these works were undertaken.
Next week there will be a small detour around Larkin Lane until the laneway works have been progressed.
Priorities for the Project Team over the next week are as follows:
- In-situ Stormwater Pits will be formed and poured to the extent of the works
- Stormwater and Drainage lines will progressing down the street.
- Commencing Larkin lane drainage, comms network and pavement works.
- The kerb at the traffic blister in front of the Book Warehouse will be poured.
- Potentially lower section footpath pours will be commencing from the centre crossing (weather permitting)
There will be no further shop closures in relation to the Keen Street construction works. Once again we would like to thank the businesses for their understanding around these closures in order to accelerate the works.
Currently the Project Team are available onsite Mondays 3pm and Wednesdays 11am for discussions around construction staging and business interactions.
We request your patience with us as we do our best to complete these works in the most timely manner possible.
This project has been completed. Minor additions will be completed, before ongoing maintenance.
