Project Update - Friday, 28th October 2022

Despite a wet start, this week the project team managed to progress the underground storm water network, this involves pouring storm water pits, setting the new channel drain as well as pipe tie ins to the existing drainage network.

The progression of these works has allowed us to begin pouring the lower section of the footpath beginning at Scoops and Candy on Monday (31/10).

We also progressed the kerb around the central blister and repaired sections of the existing concrete stormwater pipe ready for backfill.

Priorities for the project team over the next week are as follows:

  • Begin pouring the lower section of the footpath beginning at Scoops and Candy
  • Progressing In-situ Stormwater Pits, forming and pouring to the extent of the works
  • Commencing Larkin Lane drainage, comms network and pavement works.
  • Lean mix (trench pours to protect the stormwater pipes)

There will be no further shop closures in relation to the Keen Street construction works. Once again we would like to thank the businesses for their understanding around these closures in order to accelerate the works.

Currently the project team are available onsite Mondays 3pm and Wednesdays 11am for discussions around construction staging and business interactions.
