Overview
Lismore City Council is inviting community feedback on the concept design for the Lismore Boulevard – Shared User Path project.
The project has received $2,383,030 in funding through the NSW Government’s Get NSW Active 2025–2026 program, administered by Transport for NSW, with a total project cost of $2,483,030 including a Council contribution of $100,000.
The Lismore Boulevard aims to improve active transport connections and community connectivity across key destinations in Lismore.

What is proposed
The proposal includes the development of a landscaped, tree-lined, four-metre-wide shared user path.
The path is designed to create a safe and accessible active transport corridor linking key destinations including Lismore Shopping Square, the CBD, the Skatepark, Dawson Street, the Art Gallery and the Base Hospital precinct.
It will also strengthen connections to surrounding parklands and sporting facilities such as the entry/exit points of Crozier Field and Oakes Oval, with supporting secondary pathways.
The design includes features such as improved lighting, seating, bike racks at key destinations, drinking fountains, and landscaping to provide shade and enhance the comfort, safety and usability of the space.The works will create new opportunities for recreation, connection and future activation throughout the Lismore Park.
The boulevard aims to support walking, cycling and other forms of active transport while improving safety, accessibility, and amenity for users of all ages and abilities.
