Planned Night Works - May 2024

Council wishes to advise that the commencement of night works on Union Street is scheduled to be undertaken on Sunday, 19 May 2024 subject to fine weather conditions.

What are the works?

These works are to place new asphalt in the car parking areas and the west bound travel lane between the recently completed road works on Union Street and the Casino Street roundabout. These works are expected to be completed within the one shift.

What are the traffic adjustments?

Temporary traffic control measures will be in place including single lane traffic flows through the work site. Road users are advised to follow signage and directions given by traffic controllers. Some minor delays can be expected whilst these works are completed.

What do I need to do?

Please commute through the job site/s at low speed, obey traffic control instructions and drive carefully. We would appreciate your cooperation with all traffic control and workplace protection measures to help keep everyone safe. Additionally, if you normally park vehicles in these areas, please make alternative arrangements during this time.
