Who was consulted during the Aboriginal engagement phase?

Presentations were made to Lismore City Council Aboriginal Advisory Group; Bundjalung Elders Council and the Lismore Aboriginal Interagency. Surveys were also distributed to Nulingah Local Aboriginal Land Council. Attendees were invited to complete hard copy surveys and a link to an online survey was distributed through existing networks.

Please note, members of the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander community are also invited to complete the survey during this current process : Phase 2 Whole of community engagement.

Why was the survey conducted through the Aboriginal engagement phase a closed survey?

Lismore City Council attempted to gather information about what the 26 January means to local Aboriginal people utilising existing Aboriginal networks. All but one person who completed the survey left their contact details, even though it was not compulsory to do so.

Where can I find out more information about this matter?
